Mumbai, August 1: The Chinese smartphone maker iQoo will officially launch the iQoo Z9s series in the Indian market on August 21. Vivo sub-brand India CEO Nipun Marya (@nipunmarya) on Thursday announced the launch date in a post on X (formerly Twitter), revealing a few details like a curved screen with a higher refresh rate and a Golden colourway. iQoo reportedly could offer Z9s series with two variants – vanilla Z9s and Z9s Pro. It is believed to be a re-branded version of the iQoo Z9, which retails in China. The handset was spotted recently on GeekBench.

The teaser shared by the executive confirms that the iQoo Z9s series will pack a curved display. However, we believe it could be the iQoo Z9s Pro. It also reveals that the phone is touted as the fastest curved-screen smartphone in the segment. The teaser also reveals that the phone will be priced in India under INR 25,000 after all the launch offers. Apart from this, the rest of the specifications of the upcoming iQoo Z9s series are still under wraps. If the market rumours are to be believed, both the devices of the iQoo Z9s series will sport a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate carrying FHD+ resolution. The phone maker could employ a 50MP primary camera at the rear. iQoo Z9s is said to draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. Expect more details of upcoming iQ00 Z9s to surface online as we approach the launch event.
