According to a report by MacRumors, iPhone 18 will include TSMC's 2nm fabrication process and new packaging method to offer 12GB RAM in the device. Apple would reportedly start offering 12GB RAM instead of 8GB, which is available in almost all its latest iPhone 16 series devices. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that 12GB RAM could start from the iPhone 17 Pro model, making a new standard for the upcoming iPhone 18 lineup. TSMC plans to begin 2nm chip production in late 2025, with Apple expected to be the first recipient.
