Cupertino, September 23: After launching the iPhone 16 series, Apple has big plans for its upcoming iPhone 17 series, which is set to launch next year. The customers and netizens had mixed reviews about the iPhone 16 lineup, including iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Most users felt happy receiving their new-gen Apple device on September 20; however, some expected more changes in the design, hardware, and support of Apple Intelligence. The upcoming iPhone 17 lineup may come with significant changes, say reports.

According to reports, the successor of iPhone 17 may support up to 120Hz refresh rate in its ProMotion displays, which is exclusive to Pro models. Some of the iPhone 16 rumours came true, while others did not. The tetraprism camera was introduced in the latest Pro models along with bigger batteries, screens, and Action Buttons; however, the iPhone 16 'Plus' was not replaced by the 'Air' variant. iPhone 16 Pro Touchscreen Issue: Several Users Complain About Not Being Able To Tap or Swipe on Screen Due to Bug in Apple’s iOS, Says Report.

Now, the latest rumours suggest that there will be an iPhone 17 Air model instead of the iPhone 17 Plus model. The series is expected to include iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. And, unlike the display of iPhone 16 and 16 Plus with a 60Hz refresh rate, the upcoming entry-level models will offer screens with up to 120Hz refresh rate . The devices would adjust to the requirements and lower the refresh rate accordingly, allowing users to save their batteries. iPhone 16 Series Receives Overwhelming Response in India, iPhone Pro Models Lead the Pack.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro models can lower their refresh rates down to 1Hz, while the older model iPhone 13 can go as low as 10Hz. The reports said that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air could lower the screen refresh rate from 10Hz to 1Hz as well. The 'Air' model is expected to have an ultra-thin design compared to other devices. Besides, the new iPhone may follow in the footsteps of the M4-powered iPad Pro and come with an ultra-thin design and USB-C port.
