Cupertino, July 31: The highly anticipated iPhone 16 series will be launched in the global market, including India, likely in September 2024. The rumours and expectations surrounding the upcoming Apple smartphones started after the iPhone 15 series was launched last year. Several reports have claimed that the next-generation smartphones will have larger screens, bigger batteries, and Pro models that will likely feature A18 pro chipsets for performance boost.

According to a report by HT Tech, the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max may be launched with faster Wi-Fi speeds. So far, the leaks and renders suggest that Apple would go for a capacitive button to replace the physical button. The report highlighted that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max would support Wi-Fi 7 features, drastically improving internet connectivity and speed. Despite many early rumours about Apple not continuing the 'Plus' model and likely introducing the 'Ultra' model, the reports say that Apple will continue the same lineup - iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple has been silent about the rumours' specifications, design or features. However, the company's WWDC 2024 event confirmed that it would significantly change its mobile phone operating system. 

iPhone 16 Pro Models to Feature Wi-Fi 7  

Wi-Fi 7 is expected to offer several benefits to iPhone 16 Pro users as it would simultaneously support 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands. Moreover, Wi-Fi 7 is expected to be four times faster than Wi-Fi 6E. The support of the Wi-Fi 7 would reportedly allow the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphones to support up to 40Gpbs speed. The camera on the smartphone would also see significant improvement and support more pixels.
