Cupertino, July 24: Apple has released a new iOS 18 developer beta 4 to iPhone users bringing new features, improvements, and changes to the user experience. The new iOS 18 beta 4 comes with several updates in the RCS, icon design, and camera settings. Previously, the iPhone maker released its iOS 18 beta 3 version for users, which also brought new features. 

According to the official iOS 18 Beta 4 post, Apple highlighted the features provided for iPhones. iOS 18 beta 4 comes with updates and fixes to Accessibility, App Stores, Audio, Calculator, Camera, CarPlay, Control Centre, Display, Files, iPhone Mirroring, Maps and more. However, these are the key features that the users should look out for,

  • Apple Store gets an increase in the on-demand resource limit.

  • Fixed the issue of the Edit button deleting history items in the Calculator

  • Camera fixes related to Camera background replacement, first Portrait capture, camera functions loading, Document scanning feature black screen issue and portrait mode preview. 

  • BMW Bluetooth pairing issue fixed in CarPlay

  • Control Centre issues and the Voice Memo working issue are fixed.

  • Dynamic Island overlapping Control Centre page in landscape issue fixed. 

  • Dark Mode icons appearing in the gallery are fixed.

  • FaceTime in Low Data Mode improved for quality video.

  • Phones with Always on Display enabling reboot on exit fixed.

Besides these changes, Apple has launched several improvements and changes to its beta update. Starting with Car Wallpaper getting dark and light mode, according to a report by Business Standard. iOS 18 beta 4 comes with redesigned app icons and user interface. The new update includes keeping dark mode widgets on the home screen when the iPhone uses light mode. RCS supports more network carriers in countries like Spain, Canada, and the UK. iPhone Mirroring gets a new sizing option.
