New Delhi, September 7: Instagram, the Meta-owned platform, is expected to introduce new features for its Direct Messages (DMs) soon. Meta has been consistently updating its photo and video-sharing platform to improve the chat experience with creative tools. Instagram's new features are anticipated to enhance user interaction within the app. Instagram users will likely soon be able to edit photos directly within DMs and more. The upcoming Instagram new features might make conversations more interesting and visually engaging to keep the users more connected.

As per a report of The Verge, Instagram is adding new tools for DMs to offer users more creative control over shared content. Users can now cut out parts of an image, draw on photos, and even decorate pictures before sending them. Users will have the ability to make edits in their photos before sending them through direct messages (DMs). They can draw on the photos or add stickers, just like the editing options available for Instagram Stories. Instagram New Feature Update: Meta-Owned Photo and Video Sharing Platform Lets Users To Add Comments to Stories; Check Details and Know How It Works.

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri reportedly mentioned that one important factor Instagram considers when ranking posts is the number of times a post is shared through DMs.
