Mumbai, June 14: Infinix will expand its Note 40 5G series by launching a new smartphone in India on June 21. Likely to be priced below Rs. 20,000, the Infinix Note 40 5G will be the third offering in the Note 40 line-up with two other smartphones - Note 40 Pro and Note 40 Pro+. The company confirmed this development through its official X (formerly Twitter) account by uploading a cover image of the upcoming phone. Apart from this launch date announcement, Infinix gave a first glimpse of Note 40’s design and colour. OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G Launch Date in India Confirmed on June 18.
As seen in the image, the Infinix Note 40 will have slim bezels and a centrally aligned 32MP selfie camera housed in the punch-hole cutout. The mid-range smartphone will sport a triple rear camera setup with a rectangular module in the centre. It could be a 108MP primary sensor with dual 2MP sensors. The phone gets volume rockers with a power button on the right and a SIM slot on the left. It could come in two colours - Obsidian Black and Titan Gold colours.
The company recently launched the smartphone in the Philippines, and we reckon a similar version could debut in India next week. The India-spec Infinix Note 40 could boast a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The 5G phone could pack a massive 5,000mAh battery supporting 33W wired fast charging. The smartphone will also borrow 15W wireless MagCharge support from its elder sibling – Note 40 Pro.
The Infinix Note 40 5G smartphone could draw power from MediaTek’s octa-core Dimensity 7020 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. It will run on Infinix’s XOS 14 based on Android 14 OS out-of-the-box. It will also get IP53 certification for dust and splash resistance.
