New Delhi, August 5: The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has reportedly issued a high-risk security warning for Apple device users in India. The warning affects users of iPhone, iPad, and MacBook, among other Apple products. According to reports, multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in various Apple software versions, which could allow attackers to access sensitive information, execute arbitrary code, bypass security restrictions and more. The government agency urges users to update their devices immediately to mitigate these risks.
As per a report of India Today, CERT-In has identified several high-risk vulnerabilities in Apple products, including iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple Watch, VisionOS and Safari. As per reports, the affected software versions include iOS and iPadOS versions prior to 17.6 and 16.7.9, macOS Sonoma versions prior to 14.6, watchOS versions prior to 10.6 and Safari versions prior to 17.6.
