India Mobile Congress 2018 (IMC 2018) witnessed some of the biggest names in the technology industry speaking about the future roadmaps in the telecomm space. The talking point of the event revolved around the 5G technology and the developmental role played by every individual company in the 4G technology. India being the third biggest smartphone market in the world, Vodafone is planning to invest more for increasing the digital infrastructure in India to achieve the 2020 fully digital India future. Reliance Industries Chairman, Mukesh Ambani gave a keynote speech on the Day one of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2018. He started the keynote by stating, "Today we are living in an India of unprecented hope and promise. We are no longer a poor country. By 2021 only 3 percent will live under the poverty line."

Moreover, India has become number one mobile data consumption country across the globe. India has witnessed the fastest graduation to 4G from 2G and 3G, stated Mukesh Ambani - Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Limited. He also mentioned that India will be fully 4G enabled country by the year 2022. Every smartphone in the country will be 4G powered and every Indian will be 4G customer, be it urban or rural. Further addressing the media, he stated that Reliance Jio as a company is emphasizing on introducing High quality service at an affordable price. Reliance Jio Chairman also underlined that India will be ready for 5G.
