HTC, world's first Android smartphone maker on Wednesday extended its product portfolio for the Desire series by launching two new smartphones. Called as HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+, both the smartphones will go on online sale via Flipkart and Amazon on June 7. The former is priced at Rs. 15,800 whereas the latter attract consumers with a price tag of Rs.19,790. Both the devices come in two colour variants – Cool Black and Warm Silver. HTC Desire phones will also be catering to the retail stores from 11 June.
The newly launched HTC Desire 12 comes with a 5.5-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 while Desire 12+ sports a 6-inch HD+ display. Both the phones incorporate a glass back. The expensive variant of HTC Desire offers a Dual rear camera which helps in depth-effect shots and refocusing.
Priced at Rs. 15,800, the HTC Desire 12 is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 SoC coupled with 32GB/3GB of RAM. As for optics, the phone is loaded with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The phone packs a 2,730mAh battery.
Coming to the premium variant of the smartphone, HTC Desire 12+ is priced at Rs. 19,790 which sports a 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen. The device is powered by 450 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 32GB/3GB of RAM. The handset sports a dual rear camera setup of 13MP and 2MP sensors and gets an 8MP selfie shooter upfront. The smartphone is backed by a 2,965mAh battery and runs on the latest Android OS Oreo.
