The much-anticipated Honor Note 10 smartphone has been launched at an event held in Beijing, China and is expected to be introduced in India by the end of August. The smartphone comes in three variants, 6 GB + 64 GB for Yuan 2799 (Approx. Rs 28,117); 6 GB + 128 GB for Yuan 3199 (Approx. Rs 32,135) and 8 GB + 128 GB for Yuan 3599 (Approx. Rs 36,153). The device will come in two colours: Phantom Blue and Midnight Black. The launch also revealed that the company will introduce a special model called Honor Note 10 GT, which will be available in a new Lily White colour. The new Honor Note 10 sports a 6.95-inch thin bezel AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device gets the latest 970 Kirin chipset which has enhanced CPU Turbo Technology for optimal performance. Designed with nine-layers of cooling materials, the phone supports heavy usage for gaming, streaming and movie watching. To keep the smartphone ticking, it has a massive 5,000 mAh battery that is said to withstand its heavy usage and still give around 17.5 hours of life.
The new Honor Note 10 smartphone is built to compete with other gaming phones like Asus ROG, Razer Gaming Phone and also top flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus, Apple’s iPhone X and Sony Xperia XZ2. The GPU Turbo Technology used in the phone gives it its competitive edge. To engage the users into long hours of gaming sessions, the Chinese company has created two new additions. Firstly, the smartphone is infused with dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and secondly, HDR support is implemented for better video quality. The camera setup on this device is a 24MP + 16MP lens at the rear, whereas at the front it gets a 24MP sensor. Complementing the output of these cameras is the various AI technology installed in the device. Other features include NFC support for payments, PC Mode (casting phone display on to the desktop screen with wireless connection) and a Turbo button on the UI for easy access, recording gameplay and streaming it.
