Honor, a Huawei sub-brand today officially launched its flagship device - Honor 10 at an event in China. The newly launched Honor 10 sports a similar design with its parent company’s P20 smartphone which was introduced in the global market last month. The mid-range smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker not only borrows similar design from Huawei P20 but also technical specification giving it a better contender. Introduced as a replacement to Honor 9, the flagship model also comes with notch on the top giving a bezel-less display. The smartphone comes packed with a 5.84-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio thanks to notch which houses front camera, earpiece and some other sensors. Under the hood, the new Honor 10 comes powered by a Kirin 970 chipset coupled with a 6GB of RAM. Other underlines of the flagship device are EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, 3,400mAh battery with fast charging, 7.1 multi-channel Hi-Fi sound quality. For photography, the newly launched honor 10 gets a horizontal dual camera system at the rear featuring an LED flash. The dual camera is a combination of 24MP primary sensor and a 16MP secondary sensor along with 24-megapixel front shooter for details and crisp selfies. Additional notable features of the flagship smartphone are aurora glass on the back, fingerprint sensor that acts as a multi-function navigation key, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and a speaker grille and more. As far as the prices are concerned, the new Honor 10 comes in two variants – 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB wherein the former is priced at CNY 2599 (around Rs. 27,200) whereas the latter sees a price tag of CNY 2999 (approximately Rs. 31,400). The smartphone will be available for pre-orders between April 19 to April 26 and the phone will go on sale from April 27. Talking about the arrival of the smartphone in the Indian market, there is no official word from the smartphone maker yet.
