Considering how accurate the date is (Android Oreo was released on August 21, 2017), we can conclude that this could be the expected day for release. Whereas other OEMs like Essential Phone, Huawei Honor 8 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S9+, Sony Xperia XZ, Motorola Moto X4 and more will get the Android update later this year.
