New Delhi, July 30: Google is reportedly set to introduce the "Circle to Search" feature to streamline Google Lens on ChromeOS and the Chrome browser. As per reports, Google aims to get this feature on 200 million devices by 2025, which highlights its efforts to make its tools more accessible. "Circle to Search" lets users highlight areas of an image for an instant search, which enhances the existing Google Lens capabilities. The feature is reportedly visible in the latest betas of Chrome and ChromeOS, pointing to an imminent wider release.
As per a report of Android Authority, “Circle to Search” is arriving to streamline Google Lens in Chrome browser. Initially, it is seen in Chrome 128 Beta and ChromeOS 127 Beta, the feature has been in development for months. Users will notice a Lens icon in the address bar for quick access in ChromeOS. While it is not live on all devices yet, it is expected to be broadly available soon. As per multiple reports, the feature can be enabled by clicking the Google Lens icon in the address bar on Chromebooks or by selecting "Search with Google Lens" in the overflow menu on Google Chrome for macOS and Windows. When a user selects an area to search, the sidebar will show results to continue browsing. Reports also suggest that users who have the latest version of ChromeOS beta 127 on their Chromebook or the latest version of the Chrome browser beta 128 on their Mac or Windows PC can use the feature.
