Google's parent company Alphabet, is planning on launching range of consumer products in India including mid-range smartphones and speakers with a focus on Indian markets.

Mumbai, April 2: Google's parent company Alphabet, is planning on launching range of consumer products in India including mid-range smartphones and speakers with a focus on Indian markets and will directly compete with Samsung, and Amazon speakers. The Google Pixel XL and Pixel 2 XL which costs around 40,000 and 72,000 respectively.

According to reports, Google will strengthen its marketing for the consumer products that it plans to launch, considering the growing Indian market. Among the most important products from the company will be the smart speakers namely Google Home, Google Home Mini that will compete with Amazon Echo speakers.

Google also plans to launch premier laptops named Pixelbook and its Wifi service in India by next year. The move is Google's attempt to make a place for itself in the Home Automation Products segment in India. The Home Automation industry is expected to top $ 79 billions by 2022. Online shopping giant Amazon, and Apple are investing billions in the home automation  industry. With the advent of everything "smart" in Tech industry, which has changed the landscape of the mobile industry in the world. The concept of 'Smart Home' is also expected to be the rage in coming years. Home Automation is the enabling of home's control system through a device which can modify and bring the various technological elements in the house on a common platform with a centralised system.

The search giant's premium smartphones Google Pixel XL and Pixel 2 XL have done reasonably well in the Indian markets, largely on the back of its camera features. If and when Google introduces its budget segment and mid-budget smartphones in India, it will spice up the already competitive segment that boasts of names like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and Huawei. Reports also indicate that Google may soon announce a new flagship mobile that will take on the likes of Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone X. Google is yet to make a formal announcement on the same.
