Mumbai, July 28: The Google Pixel 9 series is set to debut in the global market next month with new design changes, specifications, and features. The tech giant already unveiled the design of its upcoming Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold ahead of the global launch on August 13, 2024. According to the official post by Google, the Pixel 9 series will be launched in India on August 14, 2024. 

The landing page of the Google Pixel 9 series is now live on Flipkart, confirming the launch on August 14. According to a previous report, the upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro XL specifications were leaked before the Google 2024 Event. It was expected to have 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage options. However, the standard variant could start with the 128GB ROM option. 9to5Google reported that the Google Pixel 9's minimum internal storage would start from 128GB. The report said, "Nowadays, 128GB is standard." Although it was up from 64GB, smartphone buyers may at least want 256GB. 

The report mentioned that the flagship models offered by a wide range of smartphone brands offered 128GB as standard storage. This included the Samsung Galaxy S23 base model, Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro, and the entire iPhone lineup, which features 128GB internal storage. Besides the internal storage option, the Google Pixel 9 is rumoured to offer features like call recording with transcripts. The base model is also expected to provide a "redesigned Panorama mode". 9to5Google further said the upcoming Pixel 9 would also provide photo features like "Add Me" and "Reimagine with". Google is expected to add more call assistant features, including Call Screen, Direct My Call and Hold for Me.
