Google’s new Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro will be the successors to the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro from last year. As per a number of leaked reports and listings from certification sites, the upcoming Pixel 8 series’ key specifications have come to light including the camera details. Pixel 8 Series – Latest Leaked Details
The Pixel 8 series is slated to launch at the ‘Made by Google' event on October 4, 2023, and is expected to come with substantial upgrades over the preceding lineup.
As per the latest leaked hands-on images of the device, which appears to reveal the a black coloured Pixel 8 Pro model’s design fully. The Pixel 8 Pro is supposed to feature slim bezels, a hole-punch cutout display and a matte glass finish for the back panel, which is different from last predecessors’ glossy glass finish.
The leaked render images also show the triple camera unit at the rear arranged in the pill-shaped console within the horizontal camera bar that also houses the LED flash and the thermometer sensor.

As per the specifications, the Pixel 8 vanilla is likely to feature a 6.17-inch OLED full-HD+ display, while the Pro version would get a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED QHD screen. Both models are expected to get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, get powered by Tensor G3 SoCs backed by up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage and run on Android 14 OS.
The Pixel 8 is likely to get a 50MP primary sensor mated with a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while the Pixel 8 Pro is likely to include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS teamed with a 48MP ultra-wide and a 48MP telephoto snappers. Both phones are likely to get 10.5MP front cameras.
The new Pixel 8 is said to draw its juice from a 4,485mAh battery with support of 24W wired and 12W wireless fast charging, while Pro model would get a 4,950mAh battery pack with 27W wired and 12W wireless charging support.
As per the reports, the Pixel 8 is likely to be priced starting at $699 (approx. Rs 51,800), while the Pixel 8 Pro is said to be tagged at $899 (around Rs 74,800).
