It was at the Google IO 2019 event, where Google launched new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL devices globally along with bunch of new products and features. Launched with a starting price of $399, the affordable premium smartphones from Google will offered across 13 market globally. As far as the Indian market is concerned, the Pixel 3a phone is priced at Rs 39,999 whereas the bigger Pixel 3a XL will cost Rs 44,999. It is important to note that the smartphones will be available for online sale through Flipkart in India on May 15. As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Google Pixel 3a phone comes with a 5.6-inch FHD+ OLED display with resolution of 2220X1080 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio whereas Pixel 3a XL sports a 6-inch FHD+ OLED screen with resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. Both the devices are powered by less powerful Snapdragon 670 SoC to keep the costing low. The Pixel 3 devices come with Snapdragon 845 chipset. In terms of photography, the new Pixel 3a devices comes with a single rear camera featuring a 12.2 MP sensor along with optical as well as electronic image stabilisation at f/1.8 aperture. The front camera comes with an 8MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture. The company also brings Pixel 3's portrait feature on both front and rear cameras. Additionally, both the smartphones run on the latest version of Android 9.0 Pie. The main difference between the smartphones is under the skin, the Pixel 3a is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery whereas the bigger Pixel 3a XL gets 3,700 mAh battery. Both the smartphones are also eSIM compatible.
The smartphones are offered in three shades - Clearly White and Just Black colours. The interested customers can purchase the new devices online via Flipkart by next week. The e-tailer will be offering no-cost EMI option starting from Rs 6,667 each month which can be availed via Net Banking, credit and debit cards.
