Google, one of biggest tech giants is working on a new Android P OS which is still in the testing phase. The company recently released Beta 2 version (Developer Preview 3) of new Android P Beta for the Pixel smartphones featuring several tweaks and bug fixes. However, a report suggests that the upcoming Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL could feature a wireless charging dock.

The following report comes from XDA Developers, the software development community obtained a source code from Android P Beta 2 which revealed Google might be in works to introduce a wireless charging feature. The report also suggests that Google will create a separate category under Connected Devices for the wireless charging dock codenamed as Dreamliner.

Further, XDA Developer revealed leaked images of the new Google Pixel 3 which has a glass back panel interprets combining the facts obtained from the source code that the smartphone may feature wireless charging. Taking a positive step towards the reports, which is estimating a wireless charging feature may not be an assumption as Google has already introduced this feature in their earlier smartphones like the Nexus 4, 5, 6 and 7 while Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P did not support the wireless charging dock.

Also considering the fact, last year Apple released iPhone X smartphones which introduced the display notch and supported wireless charging has imposed its rivals the need to adopt these features for their survival in the competitive market. So, it is good to hope that Google might introduce the new feature in their upcoming Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL.
