New Delhi, September 10: Google is reportedly introducing a new cloud subscription service called the Google One Lite plan for select users as an affordable option to manage their storage needs. The new plan can be useful for people who want the reliability of Google Cloud services. Users can enjoy the benefits of essential cloud features with the Google One Lite plan.

As per a report of the Indian Express, Google is testing the new Google One Lite plan for a small group of users. The step from the tech giant seems to be an effort to make cloud storage more accessible to users who do not require the larger storage options provided by the existing Google One plans. Google One is a cloud storage service provided by Google. It offers users additional storage space to securely store their files, photos, videos, and other data in the cloud. Google Photos Update: Tech Giant Rolling Out AI-Powered Ask Photos Feature in US for Android and iOS Users.

The Google One Lite plan is different from the current Google One Basic plan. The Basic plan gives you 100GB of storage that can be shared with up to 5 family members. On the other hand, the Lite plan comes at a price of INR 59 per month and provides 30GB of storage for Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail. It can be an affordable option with less storage capacity. Google Hit by UK Regulators for Anti-Competitive Behaviour Through Digital Ads.

Just like other Google One subscription plans, the Lite version also offers a one-month free trial for users who want to give it a try. This affordable option can be helpful for users who have already used up the free 15GB of storage provided by Google but do not need a lot of extra cloud storage for their photos or documents. The Google One Lite plan may provide a few limited advantages. Currently, it is only visible to a small number of users. It is uncertain when or if Google will make this new, more affordable plan accessible to everyone.
