According to recent reports, Flipkart is aiming to create over 1 lakh jobs through its 11 new fulfilment centres ahead of the festive season. The Indian e-commerce giant will create jobs across its supply chain operations.
The reports said Flipkart would create roles like warehouse associates, inventory managers, Kirana partners, logistics coordinators, and delivery drivers. The e-commerce giant will reportedly hire 100,000 new jobs and open 11 new fulfilment centres. The company is planning to execute its plan ahead of its annual sales event, Flipkart Big Billion Days. By creating over 1 lakh jobs, the e-commerce company could easily meet the people's demand. Flipkart is expecting increased orders around the festive seasons. Flipkart Senior VP and head of supply chain Hemant Badri said the company's supply chain would efficiently meet the customers' demands. He said the company had expanded its supply chain network and was ready to meet the customer's demands.
Hemant Badri also added that Flipkart was poised to provide its customers with an "unparalleled shopping experience." To achieve this goal, the company reportedly invested in technology to optimise its supply chain operations by implementing automated warehouses and incorporating "data-driven decision-making systems."
