Mumbai, July 4: On Wednesday, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram were down in several parts of the world. Users complained that they were facing problems in sending photos, videos and voice messages on the above social networking sites. Facebook earlier in the day apologised for the inconvenience which users faced.

In a statement, the company said, "Earlier today, some people and businesses experienced trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps and platforms. The issue has since been resolved and we should be back at 100% for everyone. We're sorry for any inconvenience." A tweet from the Instagram handle also says that the issue has been resolved and they are back.

Netizens went crazy as the social networking sites were down on Wednesday. Even though messages were being sent and received over WhatsApp, but users are facing a problem in downloading messages. On Instagram as well, images and stories were not visible and a retry sign was showing everywhere. The error message read, "Can't download. Please ask that it be resent to you."
