New Delhi, July 26: Epic Games has announced its strategy for mobile stores. Fortnite from Epic Games will soon be back on iOS in the European Union (EU) and Epic Games Store will also be available for Android globally and iOS across EU. On the other hand, Samsung’s decision to prevent the sideloading feature by default on its Samsung Android devices has made Epic Games exit the Samsung Galaxy Store as well. The strategy comes as Epic Games adjusts its approach to the distribution of its games, dealing with the numerous challenges of mobile app stores.

According to the information available on the official website, its new game strategy for Mobile Stores brings Fortnite and other Epic mobile games to platforms that offer fair terms to developers. Epic Games has been actively advocating for the rights of stores to exist and compete fairly for both iOS and Android platforms. The advocacy has resulted in progress globally, with regulations like Europe's DMA and identical laws in the United Kingdom and Japan. The initiative is also influenced by the legal battle between Epic Games and Google in the US. PS6 Gaming Console Leaks and Rumours Hints Expected Price, Specifications, Features and Release Date; Check Details.

Epic Games has also revealed that their mobile games will be available on AltStore for iOS in the European Union. The expansion to AltStore will provide more options for players to access and enjoy Epic Games' mobile titles. Additionally, Epic Games plans to extend support to at least two other third-party stores in the future. Epic Games is also withdrawing Fortnite and other games from the Samsung Galaxy Store. The decision comes in response to Samsung's anti-competitive policy to block sideloading by default on its Android devices.
