New Delhi, May 26: Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has now set his sights on the world of artificial intelligence. His latest venture, xAI, an artificial intelligence startup, is planning to build a groundbreaking supercomputer to power the next generation of its AI chatbot, Grok.
As per a report of MoneyControl, Elon Musk shared his ambitious plans with investors by revealing that xAI intends to develop a supercomputer that will likely be operational by the fall of 2025. In this effort, the company is reportedly considering teaming up with Oracle to develop the necessary infrastructure for their ambitious supercomputer project. Elon Musk has founded a new AI company called xAI, which aims to compete with Google and OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT. When the supercomputer becomes operational, the collection of leading Nvidia H100 GPU chips could potentially be four times larger than the largest existing GPU cluster globally. This massive scale will likely allow xAI to expand its range of AI capabilities and create even more advanced versions of its Grok chatbot.
Grok-1.5, the latest model from xAI, builds upon the capabilities of its predecessor by enhancing the reasoning abilities and expanding the context window to handle up to 128,000 tokens, a significant increase from previous versions. xAI has recently unveiled Grok 1.5 Vision Preview, a first-generation multimodal model capable of analysing various visual data types like photographs, diagrams, documents, charts and screenshots, as per a report of English Jagran.
