San Francisco, September 4: Both the US presidential candidates (Republican Donald Trump and Democratic Kamala Harris) are floating new revenue raisers including tariffs and taxes, which could further slow economic growth, Snap CEO Evan Spiegel has said. In a letter to employees, the Snapchat owner said that rapidly evolving regulatory environment continues to strain their team.

“New legislation around the world may introduce further compliance burdens if we get lumped in with other tech companies despite the different design choices we made while building our service,” he mentioned. As the company plans for the coming year, “we can’t predict the future but we can extrapolate from what we know today.
