New Delhi, August 6: Dell Technologies is making changes to its workforce by reportedly initiating layoffs as part of a restructuring plan. As per reports, the company is cutting jobs in its sales team to create a new unit focused on artificial intelligence (AI) products and services. The layoffs are said to be in response to the tech giant's efforts to align its resources with its strategic priorities in the field of artificial intelligence.

As per a report of Bloomberg, Dell layoffs hit the Sales team as part of a restructuring plan that aims to streamline operations and enhance the company's focus on AI technologies. The layoffs primarily affect the sales team, which is being reorganised to align with the company's new strategic direction. Dell Technologies is reportedly setting up a new group dedicated to AI products and services.
