New Delhi, October 28: Google is reportedly rolling out new “Performance” tools in its Chrome browser to help its users to manage tabs and improve memory usage. These updates will likely make the browsing experience smoother and may improve memory efficiency for users to run multiple tabs on Chrome without experiencing slowdowns. Google intends to address common issues faced by users, such as excessive memory usage and browser crashes when too many tabs are open.

As per a report of The Verge, Google is rolling out Chrome updates with “Performance issue alerts” that could help with the browser’s memory management. The latest update introduces new alerts for performance issues, along with improvements to the current Memory Saver feature. The Memory Saver mode helps to free up resources by managing tabs that are not currently active in the background. The Memory Saver mode will likely work even better with these changes. TCS Announces 10-Year Partnership With Brazil’s Insper and BRL 50 Million Investment To Integrate AI, IoT, and Spatial Computing Innovation in South America.

How To Use the New Feature of Google Chrome

To check and manage new settings, start by clicking on the three-dot menu found in the top-right corner of the Chrome browser. Next, select "Settings" from the dropdown menu. Once you are in the settings menu, look for the "Performance" tab on the left side of the screen and click on it. Y will find a new toggle for "Performance issue alerts" located under the General section. Below that, there are updated options for the Memory Saver feature. The setup will allow you to manage these new features and make adjustments to improve your browsing experience. Sam Altman-Run OpenAI Collaborating With Broadcom and TSMC, Likely To Build Its 1st AI Chip by 2026; Check Details.

The new alerts will show up when a tool called Performance Detection notices that one of your tabs is using more resources than it normally should. When it happens, you will see a notification next to your account profile picture in the toolbar of the Chrome browser. The feature is said to help you keep track of which tabs might be slowing down the browser, which will allow you to take action if needed. When you click on the graphic or icon in the toolbar, it will show you a list of the tabs that are causing issues. You will then have the choice to either "Dismiss" the alert if you do not want to take any action, or you can select "Fix now" to address the problem immediately.
