boAt Teams Up With Mastercard To Introduce Tap-To-Pay Feature on Its Smartwatches; Check Details

New Delhi, September 2: boAt reportedly partners with Mastercard to bring a new tap-to-pay feature to its smartwatches to make contactless payments easier for its customers. The development will allow boAt smartwatch users to make payments using their devices without the need for physical cards or smartphones. boAt will likely enhance the functionality of its smartwatches by offering a seamless and convenient experience for its users by integrating Mastercard’s payment technology,

As per a report of Money Control, boAt partners with Mastercard to enable tap-to-pay feature on its smartwatches. Users have the option to link their Mastercard debit and credit cards to their devices, which will allow them to make contactless payments without having to enter a PIN for transactions up to INR 5,000. At the moment, the feature is only accessible to Mastercard users from specific banks, but there are plans to make it more widely available in the future.

By incorporating Mastercard's reliable payment technology, it is anticipated that boAt will experience a rise in sales and there will be an increase in the usage of tap-to-pay services in India. Apart from that, Airtel reportedly teamed up with  Noise to introduce a new smartwatch. The smartwatch is said to be equipped with National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) technology integrated with a RuPay chip to allow users to make transactions.
