BlackBerry is back with a new smartphone – BlackBerry KEY 2, which has been launched today in India on July 23. Priced at Rs 42,990, the device surpasses its predecessor (KEYone) in terms of design and specifications. The new smartphone, known for its QWERTY keypad, gets a button upgrade that enables a faster mode to open applications. Slated for sale on July 31 via Amazon.in, the device comes with a cashback offer of Rs 4,450 from Reliance Jio and 5 per cent discount by ICICI bank.

Coming to the specifications, the smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FHD IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 1620 pixels and an aspect ratio of 3:2. Powering the device is a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 6 GB of RAM. The phone is the first to feature a horizontal dual camera setup of 12MP + 12MP sensors at the rear that includes HDR, 4K recording, dual tone LED flash and PDAF. As for sensors supported on the device includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, a fingerprint sensor (on spacebar key), magnetometer and proximity sensor.
