BlackBerry Mobile India is all set to launch the new BlackBerry Evolve and BlackBerry Evolve X smartphones in the Indian market today. Moreover, company’s brand licensee - Optiemus Infracom officially sent out invites for the launch event of the smartphones recently. The company will be live streaming the launch event of BlackBerry Evolve and Evolve X today on its YouTube channel. More details about the devices will be revealed at the event today. As per the market reports, the new Blackberry Evolve could be company’s previously believed device that was codenamed as Ghost. The company has managed to keep the keys specs and features sealed until the launch date. However, it is speculated that the device could be a mid-range device embedded with 660 SoC, which is also seen on the recently launched Blackberry Key2. Though Key2 handset carries a QWERTY keypad, the Blackberry Evolve will get ‘all screen’ design. As the device is rumoured to sport a Snapdragon chipset, which indicates that it would support Quick Charge technology. Moreover, the device is also expected to carry an aspect ratio of 18:9. Going by the teaser released by the company, it is quite evident that at least one of the two devices will sport dual cameras in the Evolve range. The devices are also expected to feature a rear fingerprint sensor as a safety feature. The Evolve smartphone is expected to get 4GB of RAM, while Evolve X would sport a bigger 6GB of RAM. Blackberry Evolve X, on the other hand, could be powered by a 710 SoC instead of a 660 chipset, driving more performance and less power consumption. The handset could feature a bigger display with slim bezel and 18:9 aspect ratio. The rear camera module is expected to be a dual sensor along with a single sensor front snapper. More details about the devices along with pricing and availability is expected to be revealed at the launch event itself.
