The workforce changes follow an initial disclosure by Swiss media outlet Finews regarding the company's strategic shift. Bitcoin Suisse confirmed that a mandatory employee consultation period will remain open until September 20 before final decisions take effect. The organization currently employs approximately 200 people globally.
As part of the structural overhaul, the firm is closing its information technology development facility located in Copenhagen. Operations will instead be channeled through established international centers like Bratislava, alongside plans to build a new technical hub in Vietnam.
