Asus India will be unveiling two new mid-range smartphones in the domestic market today. The Taiwanese phone maker will be strengthening its hold in the market by introducing Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 smartphones. Both the smartphones will be introduced as successors to Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Zenfone Max M2 respectively. The company will be broadcasting the launch event live from the venue itself, which is scheduled to commence from 12.30 PM IST. On the pricing front, the company hasn't revealed the prices for the smartphones yet. The prices will be revealed today at an event. However, we speculate that Zenfone Max Pro M2 could be priced at Rs 20000 while Zenfone Max M2 might see a price tag of Rs 14000.
Coming to the specifications, the predecessor of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The display screen features resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels and 19:9 of aspect ratio. Powering the smartphone is an Octa Core Snapdragon 660 SoC. The smartphone runs on the stock Android version 8.1 Oreo. Moreover, the smartphone gets dual camera module at the rear featuring a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. It comes backed by a massive 5000mAh battery.
The new Asus Zenfone Max M2, on the other hand, gets a 6.3-inch HD+ display panel with resolution of 1520×720 pixels and 19:9 of aspect ratio. Packed with Qualcomm Octa-Core Snapdragon 632 chipset, the phone is equipped with dual camera sensors for photography. It sports a 13MP primary sensor with a 2MP secondary sensor. Backed by 4000 mAh battery, the smartphone runs on stock Android 8.1 (Oreo) out of the box.
