Asus Zenfone 5Z Teased on Flipkart Ahead of Official Unveil; India Launch Imminent
Asus India is likely to reveal the new Asus ZenFone 5Z flagship smartphone in India tomorrow which be packed with Snapdragn 845 SoC & dual rear camera.
It was earlier this year at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, when Asus officially launched its flagship series - Zenfone 5. Of the lot, Asus ZenFone 5Z is the most premium one which is expected to be launched in the country tomorrow. Moreover, the upcoming flagship product from the Taiwanese giant has been teased on Flipkart wherein the teaser mentions ‘Big Reveal’ along with the date and time. The teaser image also hinted that the handset will be sold exclusively via Flipkart with "#OnlyOnFlipkart" mentioned in the banner. Featuring a phrase – Flagship Redefined, Flipkart seems to be hinting the arrival of the Asus Zenfone 5Z. However, there is no official announcement regarding the launch of the flagship device, neither the company has sent out the launch invitation about the reveal. Taking this into consideration, Asus might reveal the name of the device, but the official launch to be held by next month.
As far as the specs are concerned, the flagship smartphone is expected to carry a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with aspect ratio of 19:9 and 1080x2246pixels of resolution. Likely to run on ZenUI 5.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, the smartphone could be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC clubbed with Adreno 630 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Coming to the camera specs, the upcoming Zenfone 5Z is expected to bear dual camera at the rear in combination with a 12MP Sony sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor along with dedicated softlight LED flash. At the front, the handset is expected to feature an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture as well as face unlock. The smartphone is expected to be packed with 3300 mAh battery with AI charging support.
