Asus India is all geared up for the launch of new Zenfone 5z which is slated to be launched in the Indian market tomorrow. To be retailed in the country exclusively via Flipkart, the Taiwanese smartphone making company has been teasing the flagship smartphone for quite some time now. Initially announced at MWC 2018 earlier this year, Asus Zenfone 5z is expected to get a starting price of Rs. 35,000. Once launched, the smartphone will compete against OnePlus 6, Oppo Find X, Vivo Nex and others. Oppo Find X Flagship Smartphone With a Pop Up Camera to Be Launched in India on July 12.

The flagship device from Asus India comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ IPS display with resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels and screen to body ratio of around 90%. Sporting an iPhone X-style notch on the display, the smartphone screen is safeguarded by a Corning Gorilla Glass. Dimensionally, the handset measures 153mm X 75.65mm X 7.7mm.

In the international market, the smartphone is offered in 3 variants - 4GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. However, the Indian market could see a roll out of at least 2 variants - 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The device is also offered with storage expansion up to 1TB via microSD card. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC clocked at 1.8 GHz coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. OnePlus 6 Red Edition Launched in India at Rs 39,999; Scheduled to Go on Sale Next Week.

Coming to the optics, the flagship smartphone will get a dual rear camera setup constituting a 16MP primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and a 13MP secondary shooter with f/1.7 aperture. The module is backed by PDAF, OIS and LED flash along with AI features such as beautification, scene detection, real-time portrait and photo learning. At the front, the smartphone gets an 8MP selfie camera f/2.0 aperture with which supports 4K recording at 60fps. The handset is backed by 3300 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities which runs on Asus' ZenUI 5 based on Android Oreo 8.1.
