With flagship smartphones raining in the market, Asus India is all geared for the launch of its new flagship device today. After various renders and leaks, Asus finally will be launching the Zenfone 5z in the country via Flipkart. The company has partnered with Flipkart not only for selling the device exclusively in India but also providing rights to live stream the launch event. It was at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona where Asus launched the new Zenfone 5 series, ever since the smartphone has been awaited in the country. Moreover, the company also has been teasing the flagship for quite some time. Finally, the company will be revealing the prices and availability details. Expected to start from Rs. 29,999, the Zenfone 5z is likely to be offered in 3 variants - 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB & 8GB/256GB.
On the specifications front, Asus' flagship product will sport a big 6.2-inch FHD+ display panel with 19:9 aspect ratio and 1080X2246 pixels of resolution. Beneath the cover, the smartphone will come fitted with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 SoC clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage space. Moreover, the flagship model from Asus will run on ZenUI 5.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Coming to the camera department, the upcoming Zenfone 5z will carry a dual rear camera module comprising a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP secondary sensor with F/2.2 aperture. At the front, the smartphone will feature an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calling. The smartphone also comes with an Apple iPhone X-like notch featuring sensors similar to the one offered on its immediate rival - OnePlus 6. To be fitted with a fingerprint sensor at the rear, the smartphone will be backed by 3300 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.
