The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer Asus has released a new variant of the ZenFone 5Z devices in India. As mentioned in their official Twitter page, the #FlagshipRedefined smartphone is an upgrade from the previously-launched handsets. Asus had initially introduced two variants of the device, which was priced at Rs 29,999 for a 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage model and Rs 32,999 for 6 GB RAM + 128 GB onboard storage. The sale is scheduled for July 30 via Flipkart. On purchase, the sale offers no-cost EMI plans with 25 percent down payment and Jio instant cashback worth Rs 2,200 along with an additional 100 GB of free data on Rs 199/ 299 plan.

On the specifications side, the new phone sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2246 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU. The dual nano – SIM handset packs a 3,300 mAh battery with an in-house 18W BoostMaster fast-charging technology. As one of the key highlights of the device, the speakers installed in the Asus Zenfone 5Z features an AI-enhanced software that claims to give an immersive audio experience.

On the optics division, the phone has a 12MP + 8MP dual camera setup placed at the rear. And upfront, the phone comes with an 8MP selfie snapper. The camera offers AI features like AI Scene Detection, AI Photo Learning, Real-time Portraits, and Real-time Beautification. Additionally, in the security section, the smartphone gets a face-unlock utility and a rear fingerprint sensor.
