Beitou District, September 18: ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro, the next-gen gaming smartphone, is expected to be launched soon in the international market and also in India soon. The confirmation comes from a report that recently spotted the gaming phone on a certification website in China. The website hinted at an imminent launch of ROG Phone 9 Pro in China and likely in other countries. The smartphone will likely come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.

ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro Specifications and Features (Expected)

According to a report by Gizmochina,  the ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro was spotted in China on the CQC (China Quality Certification) website with model number "ASUSAI25001A." The listing on the certification website did not reveal any more details about the upcoming gaming smartphone; however, it is expected that ROG Phone 9 Pro might at least offer 65W (same as ROG Phone 8 Pro series) or even fast-charging support.

The report said that besides charging, the ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC and a "robust cooling system." The ASUS ROG Phone 8 series was introduced in January 2024, and with this listing, the report hinted that the company may debut its new series ahead of next year i.e. before January 2025. The smartphone's design may remain the same except for minor tweaks. 

ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro, Pro Edition Specifications

ASUS launched its ROG Phone 8 Pro and ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset mated with a Qualcomm Adreno 750 GPU. It offered LPDDR5X 16GB and 24GB RAM, respectively for the models. The Pro model offered internal storage up to 512GB, while the Pro Edition variant was launched with 1TB storage. 

Both ASUS gaming phones featured a 50MP camera with Sony IMX890 sensor, a 12.5 MP camera with Quad Bayer technology and a 13 MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree FOV. On the front, they both offered a 32MP RGBW camera for taking selfies and video conferences. The camera setup supported video recording up to 8K UHD at 24 fps and slow motion at 480 fps. The selfie camera provided 1080p video recording at 30 fps. The upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro will likely offer better specifications than this and improve upon the battery life, gaming performance, processing, camera and cooling technology. The ROG Phone 8 Pro is priced at INR 94,999 and ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition at INR 1,19,999. The upcoming ROG Phone 9 Pro gaming smartphone may launch at the same or higher price.
