iPhone 15 Series – New Battery Setting To Prolong Battery Life
The new battery setting in the new iPhone series is expected to ensure optimum battery health by lowering the battery charge to maximum 80% rather than a full 100%.
The new iPhone 15 series models running on the iOS 17 come with a new option in the Battery Health & Charging menu, which is meant to limit a max charge to not beyond 80%. This menu includes three options — Optimised Battery Charging, 80% limit, and none. The new 80% limit option will prevent the iPhone 15 models from charging to the fullest 100% and will charge only till 80%, this helps to lengthen the battery’s lifespan, as it is proven that faster charging and charging the phones too often shorten the battery’s life a lot by emanating more damaging heat. Hence, charging a device’s battery up to 80% is recommended in order to protect it from getting damaged from overheating.
