Apple WWDC 2022 Live Updates: iOS 16, watchOS 9, M2 SoC, New MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, macOS Ventura, iPadOS 16 Now Official

Apple iPadOS 16 will also allow users to rely on virtual memory swap, which will let users on iPad storage as extra RAM for apps that need it. The developer betas will be available later today, whereas the public betas for new software will be available this fall.

iPadOS 16 also gets customisable toolbars, the ability to change extensions in the Files folder, navigation buttons, an option to find and merge contacts, the ability to create lists in contacts and more.

Users will now let be able to undo any sent email and schedule an email. Safari in macOS gets Shared Tabs Groups, which will allow users to share a set of tabs with their friends.

Apple has also launched the new MacBook Pro, along with the new MacBook Air. The new MacBook Pro gets a 13-inch display, an M2 chip and more. It is priced at $1,299 and will be shipped next month.

It comes powered by the company's new M2 chip and comes with MagSafe charging, a display notch, a 13.6-inch liquid retina display, support for 1 billion colours, a 1080p camera, spatial audio, and Touch ID, 18-hour video playback and more. It is priced at $1,999.

Apple's M2 chipset is now official. It is the next-gen chip with a 5nm design, 25 billion transistors, 10-core GPU and an 8-core CPU. The M2 chip can handle 24GB of unified memory and comes with a dedicated Neural engine and support for 8K video support.

Apple WatchOS 9 is also getting revamped workouts, a new feature for triathletes. In addition to this, watchOS 9 will be available with an 'Atril Fibrillation' feature, which will help users diagnose Atrial Fibrillation.

The next announcement is about the watchOS 9. watchOS 9 will be available with four new watch faces. There is a new lunar watch face, whereas the metropolitan is claimed to be the coolest one. With watchOS 9, users will be able to pin apps. Users will also be able to search for new podcasts on watchOS 9. Apple is adding three new running form metrics. The Stride length and ground contact time metrics will be added to running workout mode.

Apple has launched a revamped Apple CarPlay that offers deep integration with a car's hardware and lets users know details about the car and its information. With the help of the iPhone, users can see the fuel information. Vehicles that support the revamped Apple CarPlay will be announced next year.

Apple has introduced a new protocol for smart home devices called 'Matter'. The My Home app is redesigned and easier to control Smart Home.

The Cupertino based company is also rolling out a new Safety Check feature, which aims to help women who might be in an abusive relationship and might revoke any shared access with their partner. The Safety Check feature stops location sharing, resets privacy settings and protects messages.

Apple launches redesigned Apple Maps. The company is bringing the redesigned Maps to more countries. With the new Maps, users will be able to ask Siri to add more stops during a route.

Apple introduces Apple Pay Later. The Apple Pay Later let users split a payment and pay for a product over time. It will be available where Apple Pay works.

Users can also edit and undo sent messages in iOS 16. Apple has introduced the Dictation feature, which allows users to type using their voice. Other features are Live Text to video, Visual Look Up.
