Apple, the Cupertino-based tech giant, officially launched a slew of products at its Far Out event. These products include iPhone 14 Series, Watch Series 8, Watch SE, AirPods Pro 2 and Watch Ultra. The smartwatch will be available for purchase in Canada, Australia, France, Germany, India, Japan, the UK, the US and more from September 23, 2022. The new Apple Watch Ultra features a 49mm Retina display with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness and a titanium body. With the new Action button, Apple Watch Ultra users can quickly start workouts, switch to a new Compass Waypoint and backtrack to help users retrace their direction when they are lost.
In addition to this, Apple Watch Ultra comes with Wayfinder watch face with Night Mode. The Wayfinder watch face features a time dial that can be switched to a live compass and has room for eight complications. In low-light situations, users can rotate the Digital Crown to activate Night Mode and see the watch face turn a vivid red.
The new smartwatch sports three microphones for good sound quality and an adaptive beamforming algorithm, which is claimed to reduce ambient background noise. It also comes with support for both L1 and L5 GPS algorithms that offer the most accurate GPS on any Apple Watch to date. Apple Watch Ultra provides up to 36 hours of battery life and is waterproof up to 100 metres under water. Coming to the pricing, Apple Watch Ultra retails at Rs 89,900.
