Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel seems to have started another race in the telecom space, as the Apple Watch Series 3 with Cellular (LTE) support is coming to India. However, the California based company has not yet revealed the prices for the Series 3 Watch that will make its way to the Indian market. The watch is priced at $399 in the US market which is approximately Rs. 26,000. The pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE support in India will commence on May 4 while it will go on sale from May 11. Moreover, both the telecom operators will accept pre-registrations for the LTE enabled Apple Series 3 watch. With the introduction of LTE compatibility, the watch will double up as a fitness band, activity tracker, communicator, health tracker with heart rate app and a music player. Bharti Airtel will initiate the pre-registrations for the Series 3 watch on May 4 which will help the users to stay connected with the people and share information with the Apple watch. As a part of special introductory offer, Airtel is giving its customers an introductory trial for familiarizing with the Apple Watch series 3.

On the other hand, Reliance Jio is offering “JioEverywhereConnect” service which enables the Jio users to use the same number for both iPhone as well as Apple watch. The pre-registration for the cellular avatar of the watch will kickstart on Jio website, Reliance Digital and Jio stores on May 4. As far as the technical specs are concerned, the Apple watch comes in two version - GPS and GPS with cellular. Both the watches are equipped with 70 percent faster dual core processor and new wireless chip. Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular was launched last year in September which comes with Siri enabled.
