New Delhi, November 11: Apple has begun selling repair parts for the iPhone 16 Series. It is expected to make it easier for iPhone 16 users to fix their devices without needing to visit an authorised service centre. The company is offering genuine spare parts for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max models through its Self-Service Repair programme.
As per a report of Indian Express, Apple has expanded its Self-Service Repair programme to include the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models. It will allow users to access repair guides and buy genuine spare parts directly from Apple’s online store. Apple is offering replacement parts for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. These repair parts consist of various components that are necessary for fixing the phones. The repair components include the display screen, back panel, camera, battery, speaker, SIM tray, and more. At present, the service is available in select regions, including the United States and some parts of Europe.
According to reports, the price of these components can vary depending on the model of the iPhone. The camera module for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus is priced at USD 169, whereas the camera module for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max costs USD 249. The battery for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus is priced at USD 99. The batteries for the iPhone 16 Pro models are priced at USD 116. The 60Hz screen panels for the iPhone 16 series cost USD 279, while the display for the iPhone 16 Pro series is priced at USD 379. As per a report of GIZBOT, Tool kits are also available for hire for a period of seven days for all four models of the iPhone 16 series. The cost to rent each kit is USD 49, which is approximately INR 4,000.
