New Delhi, November 12: Apple has rolled out the third developer beta of iOS 18.2. It brings several updates to the iPhone users. The new update focuses on improving device performance and introducing new features, including changes to the Camera control and more.

As per a report of India Today, Apple has rolled out the third developer beta of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2. The update is available for developers and those enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Programme. Currently, Apple has released the third beta version of iOS 18.2 for developers to test. The first two beta versions introduced some major new features, including Apple Intelligence, and updates for ChatGPT and more. In the latest third beta, there are some smaller adjustments made to the TV app, Photos app, and other applications. It has been reported that a public beta version of iOS 18.2, which includes these updates, will be available for users later this week.

iOS 18.2 Beta 3 Features

The new beta version of iOS 18.2 brings an improved Camera Control setting for iPhone 16 users. The new feature can be found in the Display & Brightness settings on the device. There is a toggle option called “Require Screen On.” When this option is turned on, the camera button can only be used when the iPhone's screen is active. It can be a useful safety feature that will prevent accidental camera use when the screen is off. In the third beta version of iOS 18.2, the video player has been changed to take up more space on the screen. The update removes the thick borders that used to surround videos in earlier versions of iOS 18. Users can watch videos in full screen without tapping the screen. Additionally, Apple has made some updates to the icons for the Climate and Media apps used in CarPlay. Along with these changes, the latest beta version also brings new tools powered by AI. One of these tools is called Genmoji, which will allow users to create their own custom emojis.
