Apple reportedly closed an agreement with ChatGPT-developer OpenAI to use its technology to its devices. The outcome of the collaboration between OpenAI and Apple is expected to be seen in the Apple WWDC 2024 event scheduled in June 2024.
Cupertino, May 13: Apple has finally closed the deal with OpenAI to use its technology in the iPhone. Apple aims to use the AI tech offered by the startup company OpenAI and push to bring artificial intelligence features to its smartphones and other devices. Earlier, Apple was in conversation with Google about using its Gemini AI tools and with OpenAI to use the ChatGPT for its iPhones. The tech giant is rumoured to showcase the AI technology during the Apple WWDC 2024 event scheduled in June 2024.

According to a report published by Bloomberg, Apple closed an agreement with OpenAI and will bring AI features to its iPhones and other gadgets. The report mentioned that the two companies had been finalising the terms to use the ChatGPT features in the upcoming iOS 18 update. It said that in the next Apple iPhone operating system, users will be able to witness the new features powered by artificial intelligence. The report further said that Apple might make a splash in AI at its annual Worldwide Developer Conference. Bloomberg highlighted that Apple CEO Tim Cook personally used ChatGPT and said that some issues needed to be sorted out. Tim Cook promised the new AI features would be thoughtfully rolled out to Apple devices. Apple's CEO said during the earnings call that AI's transformative power and promise would differentiate the company in this era. He said it would include a unique combination by Apple to use hardware, software and service integration.
