According to sources, Apple is planning to shift permanently to OLED display in its upcoming iPhone devices. With its previous launch iPhone X which debut OLED screen the company is rumoured to transform its line of production by 2019. As far rumours are concerned, Apple is said to launch three new iPhones this year around September out of which two will be OLED variants and other would be a low-cost LCD model. Sources have also revealed that by 2019 the new models of iPhones will adopt OLED panels.

Due to rumours flooding the internet space it has affected the financial share market itself. Japan Display currently the LCD display supplier for Apple is reported to have dropped by 10 percent in shares. The display supplier company which has not yet developed OLED technology will likely to start by 2019. Given the time period, it will be hard for Japan Display to catch up to current OLED manufacturers. The Cupertino Giant has reportedly been investing billions of dollars in LG Technologies to be its secondary supplier for OLED display while Samsung is currently the only company that supplies OLED display for Apple’s iPhone X.

A recent report suggested, the company is adopting LG’s new MLCD+ panels used in the new G7 ThinQ, which provide increased brightness and greater colour accuracy while using less power.
