California, Aug 30: Apple has sent invites for a mega event to be held on September 12. At the event scheduled to be organised at company’s shiny new headquarters in Cupertino, Apple is likely to unveil three new iPhone models - iPhone 9, iPhone 11 and 11 Plus, also referred to as the iPhone X2 and iPhone X Plus, a new Apple Watch and an updated iPad Pro. The Apple invite for September 12 event bears the words “Gather round.” along with a large gold circle.

Apple may launch a cheaper version of the iPhone X with the 5.8-inch OLED display. A report claimed that iPhone 9 will be the most-affordable smartphone by Apple in 2018. The iPhone X (2018) and iPhone X Plus will have starting prices of $899 to $949 and $999, respectively, according to the research firm. Last year, Apple launched iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X on September 15 and went on sale in the following week on September 22.
