San Francisco, August 4: Apple showcased its Apple Intelligence system during the WWDC 2024 event held between June 10 and June 14, 2024. Apple Intelligence includes several features that users have expected for a long time. After Samsung announced its Galaxy AI system,  other brands, including Apple, were expected to follow. However, a report said that  Apple's AI system only included basic features and had yet to go a long way.

According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple Intelligence has yet to go a long way to meet its marketing hype. Mark Gurman reported that the company introduced the first preview of its AI system last week, referring to the iOS 18.1 beta, which offered the developers access to certain features. However, the official launch is still pending and will be announced in the official iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 versions. iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max Launch Expected Next Month; Check Expected Price, Specifications and Features So Far.

Amid the high expectations of the upcoming iPhone 16 series, the report said that Apple Intelligence would be delayed further and will not launch alongside the device next month. After Apple launched the iPhone 16 lineup in September 2024, Mark Gurman said that he tested the Apple Intelligence in the beta version and said, "I can tell you that the features don't yet live up to the excitement." He said  Apple's system was a "far cry from game-changing technology that fans and investors hope Apple Intelligence will become."

He said that  Apple's stocks outperformed since it unveiled the AI system and would likely help the tech giant to drive sales. Mark Gurman said that the beta version included features about the Messages app focusing on brief suggested replies, reply suggestions in the Mail app, and a summary. It included Reduce Interruptions Focus Mode, Transcriptions, web summaries in Safari web browser, Photos app movie creation, Writing Tools feature, and Siri updates. Apple Vulnerabilities Alert! Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said that some key features were missing in the iOS beta update, and users would have to wait to see the fully revamped Siri in 2025. He said that Apple's efforts felt like a response to AI revolutions led by Google, Meta Platforms, and OpenAI. To be a leader, the report said that the tech giant would have to release meaningful features soon.
