Amid this excitement, reports have surfaced with information about the Apple foldable smartphone and its expected launch timeline. 

TrendForce reported that rumours surrounding Apple's iPhone foldable would likely be launched in 2027, almost three years from now. Despite many rumours about Apple working on a foldable iPhone, nothing significant was reported over the years. According to the report, the shipment of foldable phones could reach 17.8 million units in 2024, which would secure 1.5% of the smartphone market. By 2028, the foldable smartphone market is expected to rise to 4.8%. Samsung introduced the foldable smartphones and led the market faced competition market that affected its market share, lowering it to 50% from 60%. Recently, Vivo announced that it would launch its first foldable smartphone, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, in India on June 6. The report mentioned that rumours about Apple launching its foldable iPhone have been circulating; however, the company still needs to evaluate 'component specifications' and maintain 'performance'. With all this planning, the report said Apple would launch its foldable phone by 2027, marking a significant entry and shifting market dynamics.
