Cupertino, September 20: Apple iPhone 16 series has hit stores across the globe, and the customers who pre-ordered their iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max can now get their hands on the devices. In India, the Apple BKC store in Mumbai and the Apple Saket store in New Delhi have witnessed a massive crowd outside waiting in line to get their device. However, a report said that Apple had been facing an "unprecedented challenge" and persuading customers to buy its new models in 60 countries without offering its new AI system.

Bloomberg reported that Apple Inc. launched its iPhone 16 series and other products on September 9, 2024, during the Apple Glowtime event. Apple launched its iPhone 16 lineup in over 60 countries, including the US, India, China, Australia and South Korea, according to the report. However, Apple Intelligence would not be included in these smartphones, which the company first unveiled in June 2024 during the Apple WWDC24 event. iPhone 16 First Reactions: Customers Elated As They Purchase New iPhone 16 Series, Long Queues Continue To Form at Apple Stores in Mumbai and Delhi (Videos).

Apple plans to launch its much-anticipated AI system in the coming weeks or months. The report said that it would put the company in a "tricky spot" as some customers may hold off on buying the iPhone 16 models despite their new hardware, software, and slight design changes. China customers already were concerned about not getting Apple Intelligence, as per previous reports.

Despite these challenges and iPhone 16 series criticism for minimal design changes, Wall Street reportedly believes that Apple will mark its growth during the holiday season. Experts said Apple's revenue in the December quarter could rise to 8%. The first units sold worldwide will offer iOS 18, the latest operating system provided by Apple. iPhone 16 Delivery in 10 Minutes: Blinkit Delivering iPhone 16 Series in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Lucknow and Bengaluru, CEO Albinder Dhindsa Says 'This Is Going To Be One Crazy Day'.

However, the iPhone 16 models would require a minimum of iOS 18.1 software, slated to launch in October 2024. So, till next month, the customers would have to wait for the Apple Intelligence to arrive on their devices. Although an Apple Intelligence beta version has been released, not many customers are expected to access it as they would wait to get the final update.
