Anthropic’s Claude AI Chatbot Now Gets Desktop App and Dictation Tool; Check Details

New Delhi, November 2: Anthropic’s Claude AI chatbot has expanded its reach with new desktop apps for macOS and Windows. It may make the AI chatbot more accessible to users on various platforms. Users can now interact with Claude AI directly on their desktops to enhance their experience.

Additionally, Anthropic has also introduced support features for Claude. Claude is an LLM model and AI chatbot. It can help its users with various tasks. It can be used for personal work. As per a report of The Verge, Anthropic’s Claude AI chatbot now has a desktop app available for macOS and Windows. Interested users can get the Mac and Windows versions of the app by visiting Anthropic’s website. Additionally, Anthropic made its new “Computer Use” feature available in public beta. The feature enables the Claude 3.5 Sonnet model to interact with a computer by observing the screen, moving the cursor, clicking on buttons, and typing in text. Claude's features can be integrated directly into the work environment you prefer.

It is important to note that these features do not include the recently introduced “Computer Use” capability from Anthropic. The desktop applications are accessible for users who are using Claude for free and those who have subscribed to Anthropic’s premium plans. According to reports, the desktop version of Claude is quite similar to the web version. As per a report of TechCrunch, Anthropic also released a dictation tool for Claude but it is currently not available in the new desktop apps. On devices like iOS, Android, and iPadOS, users will have the option to record and upload a message that can be up to 10 minutes long. Claude will then transcribe this message and provide a response.
